Galvanized: Greater Lansing Area Men's Group
This group is for all males who want to:
-Be a better version of themselves
-Find community and support in exploring their shadow
-Forge ties of brotherhood with men of character and integrity
Together we answer questions like:
-What are the struggles and pitfalls of being a man in today’s world?
-How can we better embody some of the masculine ideals of strength, conviction, and authenticity?
General goals include:
-Time outside for each meeting so we can reconnect with Nature.
-Activities that are more social and less structured.
-Allow men who have time constraints to participate.
-Physical movement at each meeting.
-Create and maintain a safe space through simple agreements and confidentiality.
Each event includes a potluck lunch. Open to all males 18 and above. Newcomers and Elders wholeheartedly welcome.
This is a non-denominational, non-religious group, meaning it doesn’t matter your religion (or lack thereof). This is about stepping up to be a better man—no excuses.
Cost: None! This is hosted by men who are on mission to serve their brothers, friends, sons, and fathers.
Items to bring:
-Plate, bowl, silverware for lunch
-Vegetarian dish for the potluck lunch. Avoid gluten, quinoa, and anything overly processed, if possible.
-Outer clothing appropriate for the weather (ie, jacket, coat, shoes, etc)
-[Optional] Journal/paper and pen
-[Optional] Water bottle
-[Optional] Warm socks [shoes not allowed inside]
