The Way of Mastery -- Fear Free Teachings on Awakening
Seriously, why not this life? Why not right here and right now to wake up from the dream of separation?

We are a community of truth seekers who practice love and forgiveness as a path to return to wholeness, and we invite you to join us in a serene setting for learning, healing, and sharing about the Path of Love. This group is structured as an ongoing class to unlearn the lies of the world, find peace, and open our hearts. Teachings come mainly from the Way of Mastery books written by Jeshua and Jayem. The Way of Mastery series offer teachings centered on unconditional love, forgiveness, and maintaining a lightness of being. Here are a few selected quotes from it:

'You are not the body, you are not the personality your parents told you that you were. You are that consciousness, that awareness, that Love, that vast Light in which all of creation is arising – and the holy and only begotten child or offspring of God is eternally one.'

'Is it not time to release seriousness from what you call spirituality? Is it not time to transcend religiousness and to know that Spirit dwells within you as the voice and the whisper of God’s Love that brings you into being?'

'Be willing to take the leap off the cliff, to entertain what seems to be absurd and insane and outrageous and arrogant, according to the world. Dare to claim that you are as God created you to be and nothing in this world holds a candle to your radiance.'

Each evening consists of:

- Wellbeing practices to promote peace, presence, and confidence
- Illuminating teachings to expand your understanding
- Fellowship, sacred sharing, and support

This group is open to anyone. If Love is your primary spiritual path, then you will likely find tremendous value in these teachings and community. If you believe the Bible is the literal and only word of God, then this group may not be a good fit for you.

Practice takes place on mats, cushions, benches, or chairs, which are provided free of charge.

Cost: Donation based (Cash, Venmo, or PayPal). Luna Center is a registered 501c3 nonprofit.

About the Guide—John V. Love:
John is the founder of Luna Center, author of the novel about Jesus 'There Ariseth Light in the Darkness' (Amazon), and an ordained interfaith minister, having graduated from The New Seminary in 2007. It took him decades to work his way back to the innocent love he felt for Jesus as a child. Once he stripped away the confusing and unhelpful dogma of modern day Christianity, he learned Jesus’ true teachings which are devoid of fear and judgment. These profound teachings radically transformed his life and he now shares them with others.

Supplemental—Who is this group for?

Primarily, this group is for people who want to heal. It is for people who want to let go of the false beliefs they’ve held about themselves and the world that have kept them in misery. It is the healing of our consciousness that is of primary importance. All other healing—be it physical, mental, or emotional—takes place with minimal effort once we cease believing the lies we’ve been taught. And the lies of the world are extensive and devious. They declare we are unworthy, unlovable, and undeserving of redemption unless we obey certain mandates. The grand deception says we are condemned to forever exist outside the ever present, all-consuming, unconditional love of the universe. The truth is that that vast love is not only our birthright, but also what we were birthed from and shall return to one day. That day could be hundreds or thousands of lifetimes away. Or we can use our free will to return to it this very lifetime. The choice is ours alone.

We must be willing to question the beliefs that have kept us in ignorance. We must be willing to trade in our broken heart for one that is whole, inclusive, and overflowing with gratitude. When we do that, truth becomes our guide and leads us to the doorstep of forgiveness.

Forgiveness is like a ladder that has been lowered down into our self-created pit of suffering. When we climb up the ladder of forgiveness, we leave our old life and our old lies behind. Forgiveness is letting ourselves and others "off the hook" for having ever believed in certain situations that selfish actions could restore the peace, love, or acceptance that we were seeking.

Pain and resentment can never be healed by punishment or vengeance. They only deepen and prolong the agony. Forgiveness returns us to our natural state of harmony and leads to the Peace of God.

May you know how deeply you are loved.

Way of Mastery Compared to Christianty
The Way of Mastery offers a radically different spiritual lens compared to traditional Christian teachings centered on hell, damnation, and judgment. Here's how they diverge:

Core Message of The Way of Mastery
• Love is the only reality: It teaches that only love is real, and everything else—including fear, guilt, and judgment—is an illusion.
• No sin, only misperception: Mistakes are seen as opportunities for learning, not offenses that require punishment.
• Radical forgiveness: Forgiveness is not about pardoning wrongdoing, but recognizing that nothing real has been harmed.
• Christ Mind awakening: The goal is to awaken to your divine nature, not to earn salvation through suffering or obedience.
• Jeshua’s voice of compassion: The channeled teachings from Jeshua (Jesus) emphasize gentleness, humor, and unconditional love—not wrath or condemnation.

Traditional Christian Teachings (Hell/Damnation/Judgment)
• Sin as moral failure: Often viewed as a violation of divine law that separates humans from God.
• Judgment Day: A future reckoning where souls are judged and sent to heaven or hell.
• Hell as eternal punishment: A place of torment for the unrepentant.
• Fear-based obedience: Salvation is sometimes framed as contingent on belief and behavior, with fear of damnation as a motivator.

ASPECTWAY OF MASTERYTRADITIONAL CHRISTIANITY
Nature of SinIllusion/misperceptionMoral transgression
View of GodUnconditionally lovingLoving but also wrathful
Role of JesusGuide to awakeningSavior from sin
SalvationAwakening to divine natureRedemption through faith and grace
JudgmentNonexistent—only self-perceptionDivine judgment of souls
HellIllusion created by fear and guiltReal place of eternal punishment

In essence, The Way of Mastery invites you to transcend fear and embrace your inherent divinity, while traditional Christian doctrine often emphasizes moral accountability and divine justice. One path says, 'You are already whole,' the other says, 'You must be saved.'

Understanding 'Ego' in Way of Mastery
In The Way of Mastery, the term ego is not treated as a fixed identity or psychological structure, but rather as a temporary illusion—a mistaken belief in separation from God, Love, and the Truth of who we are.

Definition: The ego is the voice of fear. It is the part of the mind that believes in lack, limitation, judgment, and separation. It is not a thing, but a process—a choice to think contrary to God.

Key Characteristics:
• Illusory Identity: The ego is a false self, constructed from past experiences, beliefs, and conditioning. It thrives on comparison, defense, and control.
• Fear-Based Thinking: It interprets the world through fear, scarcity, and attack. It resists love and seeks to preserve itself through judgment and conflict.
• Not to Be Fought: The Way of Mastery invites us not to battle the ego, but to observe it gently, recognize its unreality, and choose again—choosing love, forgiveness, and presence.

Spiritual Invitation
Rather than trying to destroy the ego, the teachings encourage us to embrace it with compassion, seeing it as a child lost in a dream. Through forgiveness and awareness, we dissolve its grip and awaken to our true nature as Christed beings—extensions of Love itself.

'The ego is nothing more than a shadow passing across the face of the sun. It has
no substance, no power, and no reality unless you give it your belief.'

Who Created the Universe?
In The Way of Mastery, the teaching is very clear: God did not 'create' the universe in the way most traditions imagine. Instead, the teachings emphasize that the universe of time, space, and form is a projection of the mind of the Son of God—that is, the collective Christ Mind, which includes you and me.

God is described as only Love, beyond form, beyond change, beyond time. Love does not create limitation, separation, or death. Therefore, God did not create the physical universe.

The universe arises from the Son’s tiny, mad idea of separation—an experiment in "What if I could be apart from God?" The cosmos is the reflection of that thought, a dream-space in which the illusion of separation can be played out.

A key distinction is that 'creation' is eternal, formless, and of God—a pure extension of Love. 'Making' is what the separated mind does. It 'makes' worlds, bodies, and experiences of time. The universe belongs to this category of 'making.'

Though not created by God, the universe can be used by the Holy Spirit as a classroom. Every relationship, every star, every breath can become a mirror that points us back to Love and to the remembrance of our true nature.

So in short: the universe was not created by God, but by the dreaming mind of the Son of God. God remains untouched, the Source of Love, while the universe is the stage on which awakening unfolds.
